Lorna Lyle set up Solar Power Education in 2014. Ever since taking her Year 6 class on a residential visit to a working farm, Lorna has been passionate about learning outside the classroom and alternative ways of delivering the curriculum. She believes passionately in the future of solar power and leads workshops in schools across the UK.
Lorna is a qualified primary school teacher and has a Masters in Museum and Gallery Education. Lorna has worked with companies such as Barclays, RBS, Manpower, and Berkeley Group. Lorna was a governor of the outstanding inner city Ark Atwood Primary Academy, London from 2012 to 2014.
Lorna currently lives in Scotland and works part time as she raises her two young children.
Iona Hewitt has ten years experience as a primary school teacher in North Kensington, London. She was a lead teacher and is now a consultant supporting schools develop exciting, interactive teacher friendly resources which enhance learning.
She has been working for Solar Power Education since it began in 2014.
Iona is a mother of three small boys.
Tracy Linney joined the team in September 2015. With over twenty years of teaching experience and as a lead teacher Tracy delivers excellent workshops and site visits in Dorset and the surrounding area.
Tracy’s passion is for creating unforgettable outdoor learning experiences which children can take into their future lives. She is an avid supporter of ‘green energy’ and believes in empowering children to understand the benefits to the environment.
